Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SetFlow Academy ("Academy", "we", "us"), the open course marketplace operated by SetFlow. By creating an Academy account, enrolling in a course, or publishing a course, you agree to these Terms.

1. Separate platform, separate account

SetFlow Academy is operated as a distinct platform from SetFlow (getsetflow.app). Your Academy account is separate from your SetFlow account. Linking the two is optional and reversible. Linking creates a read-only bridge so SetFlow can display your Academy enrollments and progress; it does not merge your accounts, billing, or data.

2. Eligibility

You must be 13 years or older to create an Academy account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the platform. Some courses may have higher age restrictions set by their instructors.

3. Account & security

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Courses & content

Courses are published by individual instructors or by SetFlow itself ("SetFlow Originals"). SetFlow does not pre-screen all instructor courses, but reserves the right to remove courses that violate these Terms, our content policy, or applicable law. Courses flagged by community feedback (10+ negative reviews in 30 days, > 30% bad ratio) enter an admin review queue.

You may not upload content you don't own the rights to, content that infringes intellectual property, or content that is harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit. We comply with the DMCA — submit takedown requests to dmca@getsetflow.app.

5. Free vs. paid courses

SetFlow Originals are free for all learners. Instructor-published courses may be free or paid. Paid checkout is launching soon — these Terms cover paid transactions in advance, but no charges are made until checkout is live and you explicitly purchase.

6. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. The short version: 30 days, no questions asked, unless you've completed more than 50% of the course's lessons.

7. Certificates

Certificates issued by SetFlow Academy verify completion of a specific course or learning track. They are not equivalent to academic credit, professional licensure, or accredited continuing education unless the specific certificate explicitly says so. Validity in continuing-education or accreditation contexts requires the recognition of the corresponding accreditation body.

8. AI features (Tori)

Tori, our AI teaching assistant, is provided as part of the platform. AI-generated content may contain errors. You should not rely on Tori's output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. We log Tori conversations to improve the service; do not share information you wouldn't want stored.

9. Termination

Either you or we may terminate the account at any time. On termination, course access is revoked, and any earned certificates remain valid via their public verify URL.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SetFlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and a banner on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
