SetFlow Academy

Instructor Agreement

Last updated: April 28, 2026

This Instructor Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("Instructor") and SetFlow Academy ("Academy"). By publishing a course on the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Your content, your rights

You retain copyright and all intellectual property rights in the courses you create. You grant Academy a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and promote your course on the platform and its marketing channels. You can remove your course at any time; we'll stop new enrollments but existing enrolled learners retain access for the period they paid for (or for life if free).

2. Revenue split

For paid courses (once paid checkout is live):

  • You keep 80% of net revenue (after Stripe processing fees, refunds, taxes).
  • Academy keeps 20% for platform, hosting, and Tori-as-TA.

Free courses generate no revenue and no platform fee.

If your course is bundled into a learning track or sold as part of a bundle, your share is calculated proportional to your contribution.

3. Quality review (first 3 courses)

Your first three published courses go through a quick admin review before they appear in the public catalog. This protects the platform's overall quality. Most reviews complete within 48 hours. After you have three approved courses, future courses auto-publish.

4. Auto-flag for review

If a course receives 10 or more ratings of 2 stars or below in a 30-day window AND that's more than 30% of recent reviews, the course is flagged for our admin team. The course remains live during review. Possible outcomes: dismiss, warn (we contact you with feedback), require revisions, or unlist.

5. Content standards

Your course must be your own original work or properly licensed. It must not include copyrighted material you don't have rights to, hateful content, sexually explicit content, dangerous instructions, or false credentials.

6. Refunds

Academy honours a 30-day no-questions-asked refund (see our Refund Policy). Instructors are not charged refund fees within this window — the platform absorbs the cost.

7. Stripe Connect (for paid courses)

Once paid checkout launches, you'll need to complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding (KYC, bank account, tax info) before publishing paid courses. This is a Stripe and US/EU regulatory requirement, not an Academy choice.

8. Support obligations

You don't have to answer every learner question — Tori does the first line of support, grounded in your course content. But for questions Tori escalates (or for paid courses where learners DM you directly), you should respond within 5 business days. Persistently unresponsive instructors may have their courses unlisted.

9. Tori as TA

Tori is configured per-course. By default she:

  • Grounds her answers on your course content (Markdown, video transcripts where available).
  • Does NOT reveal direct answers to graded quiz questions.
  • Adapts to learner accommodations carried over from SetFlow.

You can customize Tori's tone, allowed materials, and answer-revealing policy in your course editor.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. On termination, your courses are unlisted but existing enrollments and certificates remain honored.

11. Changes

We may update this Agreement. Material changes will be communicated via email and require your re-acceptance before publishing new courses.
