What teachers and students actually see when SetFlow lives inside their LMS.

Forget LTI, OIDC, JWTs — that's the technical plumbing. Here's what each person experiences in the real world. The big idea: SetFlow becomes part of the LMS your school already uses. No new login. No second app to download. No second password.

The 30-second mental model

Think of SetFlow like a guest in someone else's house.

Your school's LMS (Canvas, Brightspace, Moodle, or Blackboard) is the house. SetFlow is invited in as an activity, just like Google Docs or YouTube videos can be embedded in a course.

When a student clicks SetFlow, they don't leave the house. They open a room. The house already knows who they are. When they finish using SetFlow, the house sees what they did.

That's it. No portals. No imports. No CSV files. The LMS stays the front door; SetFlow does the work; grades show up where they belong.

For teachers

Adding SetFlow to your course (30 seconds)

  1. 1

You open your course in your LMS

Same as you do every Monday. Canvas, Brightspace, Moodle, whatever your school uses. Open BIO 101 → Modules.

    Canvas / BIO 101 — Modules

    • Week 1: Introduction
    • Week 2: Cell Biology
    • Week 3: Photosynthesis
    • + Add Activity
  2. 2

Click "+ Add Activity" → "External Tool"

In your LMS's normal "add activity" menu, your IT admin has added SetFlow as an option (alongside Google Drive, YouTube, etc.). Pick SetFlow.

    • Page
    • File
    • YouTube
    • SetFlow
  3. 3

A SetFlow picker pops up — pick the content

You stay inside your LMS, but a small SetFlow window opens. You browse SetFlow courses + practice exams, pick one ("Cell Structure"), tick the "Create gradebook column" box, click Send to LMS.

    ✦ Pick SetFlow content

    ✓ Cell Structure (course)
    Photosynthesis (course)
  4. 4

Your course now has a SetFlow tile

Back in your LMS, "Cell Structure (SetFlow)" appears as a clickable activity, and a gradebook column was auto-created with the same name. Done.

    Canvas / BIO 101 — Week 2

    • Cell Biology overview
    • Cell Structure (SetFlow) — NEW
    • Mitosis video

For students

Using SetFlow as a student (under 1 second to launch)

  1. 1

You open your course in your LMS

You log into your school's Canvas / Brightspace / Moodle the way you always do. Open BIO 101.

    • People
  2. 2

You see a SetFlow tile in your week

"Cell Structure (SetFlow)" sits in your weekly module list, just like any other reading or quiz.

    Week 2 · Cell Biology

    • 📄 Reading: Chapter 3
    • ✦ Cell Structure (SetFlow) ← click me
    • 📝 Lab worksheet
  3. 3

You click — and you're inside SetFlow, signed in

No login screen. No second password. SetFlow opens with your name, your course context, and the right lesson loaded. Tori is right there to ask questions to.

    ✦ SetFlow · Cell Structure

    Welcome back, Sarah

Lesson 1: What is a cell?

→ continues with the full lesson, Tori chat, quiz at the end

  4. 4

You take the quiz, and your score auto-flows back

You finish the lesson, take the embedded quiz, get an 87. SetFlow celebrates the win. Behind the scenes, your 87 is automatically posted to your LMS gradebook column.

    ✦ Score: 87 / 100 🎉

Tori: “Nice work, Sarah! You're strong on cell membrane structure; let's practice mitochondrial respiration next.”

✓ Score sent to your Canvas gradebook

For teachers, grading

Grading happens in your normal LMS gradebook

  1. 1

You open your gradebook in your LMS

Same gradebook you always use. The SetFlow column you set up in step 3 (above) is right there, alongside your other assignments.

    Canvas Gradebook · BIO 101

    StudentLab 1Quiz 1Cell Structure (SetFlow)
    Chen, Sarah948887
    Diaz, Marco918592
    Patel, Aisha8279
  2. 2

No CSV imports. No manual entry.

Every score in that SetFlow column was placed automatically when each student finished. You see who completed, who hasn't, who's struggling. Late students show "—" until they finish.

Saves teachers ~2 hours per assignment compared to standalone tools where you have to download a CSV and re-import.

The one-liner for your principal

Teachers add SetFlow as an activity in their normal LMS course. Students click it, sign in instantly, do the work. Grades show up in the gradebook automatically.

That's the entire workflow. Everything else — the Tori AI tutor, the lesson content, the practice exams, the certificates — happens inside SetFlow. The LMS stays the front door. Nothing changes about how a student logs into school.
